Advisor Products Launches Personal Client Portals™ Platform

WESTBURY, NY – The first application dedicated solely to managing communications between financial advisors and their clients was launched today by Advisor Products Inc., a leading marketing firm serving 1,800 independent financial advisors.

API’s Personal Client Portal platform makes advisory firms more efficient, scalable, and client-focused by providing a personal website to each of their clients—a single place on the Web for managing all their financial affairs.

The platform is integrated with leading applications used by independent advisors, allowing performance reports, financial plans and other client data to be automatically and securely displayed whenever a client logs into his personal portal. Integration partners include Albridge Solutions, AssetBook, Black Diamond Performance Reporting, FinancialLogix, MoneyGuide Pro, Money Tree Silver Online, Orion Advisor Services, and RedTail Technology.

All Personal Client Portals include a To-Do Manager that enables advisors to send and receive action items to clients and allied professionals, such as estate planners, and track progress on these action items. The platform also personalizes financial articles according to each client’s unique interests, and provides a secure online vault for storing reports and documents.

The platform includes a tool that allows advisors to format and post a blog in minutes. The blog can be made to allow for search engine visibility. Commenting on blog posts by clients and the public can also be enabled.

Advisor Products’ database of more than 800 proprietary financial planning articles is personalized to each client using the portal’s unique system of keywords and client profiles. In addition, API’s editorial staff screens personal finance articles from leading financial publications to ensure consistency with advisor strategies. These articles are refreshed each time a client logs in. Clients can also add RSS feeds from hundreds of leading sources about topics such as health, vacations, autos, wine, dining, collectibles, and much more.
